Carpentry works at North Stoneham Park, Eastleigh 2018-2023
On 27 April 2023 SC4 installed its final timber frame plot at North Stoneham Park, near Eastleigh, as 5 years carrying out Carpentry and Timber Frame on almost 900 new homes drew to a close.
The site is particularly important to SC4 Owner/Director, Simon Griffiths, as he holds many fond memories of playing sports on the fields in his youth. He has been very happy to see the progress of the site and is pleased to have contributed to his local community through carpentry and timber frame work on this new development.
SC4 has been on the site for five years of almost continuous work of carpentry and timber frame for Highwood and Taylor Lane Timbe Frame, with a great team headed up by Simon Griffiths.
As a local lad who played football on Doncaster Farm (North Stoneham Park Phase 1) as a ten year old, and later on in life played cricket and football on AC Delco playing fields (North Stoneham Park Phase 2) and hit golf balls off the range (North Stoneham Park Phases 5&6), Simon told me:
"It was a brilliant opportunity to be part of building this new community so close to my home and where I grew up.
"The North Stoneham Park is a landmark development of beautiful homes with a vibrant community feeling and we can all take pride in this project!
The planning and collaborative working we have all put it in has been very satisfying and looking back at the site the quality produced is there for all to see."
Highwood Surveyor, John Black, described working with SC4 on this project as "an absolute pleasure" while his colleagues praised our timber frame installation as being "millimetre perfect", and Taylor Lane Timber Frame awarded SC4 their very first subcontractor award praising the quality and safety of our work.
So we want to give a big thank you to:
- The SC4 team and all our carpenters who have worked so hard at North Stoneham Park, including 8 apprentices, many of whom studied at Eastleigh College.
- All the Highwood staff - it has been a joy to work with you all.
- Taylor Lane Timber Frame for always getting quality kit on site and always on time.
- Marsh Plant for all the cranes, and especially Albert (pictured with Simon Griffiths) who has been our a main crane driver and put off retiring for the last four years as he enjoyed working with us so much 😁.
Built by Highwood, the leading south coast developer and Housebuilder of the Year 2019, the Park was crowned Development of the Year (Residential – Large) in 2018 at the South Coast Property Awards by judges who knew the Park offered something special.
Thanks again and we look forward to working with you all in the future.
